Prayer for Oaxaca

Please keep Oaxaca in your prayers this week as they celebrate the Guelaguetza (gay-la-gets-a). It is an annual festival that celebrates the diversity of Mexico's native population. People come from around the world to watch the dancers from the different regions of Mexico.

This year protesters are making attempts to keep this festival from happening, and police are trying to stop them. Last year at this time, protesters seemed to be in complete control and the festival was canceled, so thankfully it is not that bad this year. But, Oaxaca could still use your prayers as they continue to struggle - the festival will be held today and next Monday. Thank you.
