What Lucy Saw

As I waited at the airport for my sister to arrive, I bought a copy of the book Prince Caspian. I've enjoyed readng it, and with the new movie coming out, I thought I would post some of my favorite lines, or parts that stood out to me.

After brief research, I've noticed some people don't like the adaptation by Disney. However, the article, Return of the Lion, in World Magazine explains clearly why certain changes were made. Makes sense to me, and I look forward to seeing the movie.

So the Dwarf settled down and told his tale. I shall not give it to you in his words, putting in all this children's questions and interruptions, because it would take too long and be confusing, and, even so, it would leave out some points that the children only hear later. But the gist of the story, as they knew it in the end, was as follows.

"I'll believe in anyone or anything," said Nikabrik, "that'll batter these cursed Telmarine barbarians to pieces or drive them out of Narnia. Anyone or anything, Aslan or the White Witch, do you understand?"

"To know that would have happened, child?" said Aslan. "No. Nobody is ever told that."
"Oh dear," said Lucy.
"But anyone can find out what will happen," said Aslan.

"Will the others see you too?" asked Lucy.
"Certainly not at first," said Aslan. "Later on, it depends."
"But they won’t believe me!" said Lucy.
"It doesn’t matter," said Aslan.

But, she forgot them when she fixed her eyes on Aslan.
