Photo Extravaganza (Part 3) - Puebla Health Fair
On our way back from the retreat, we stopped in Puebla to do a one day health fair and attend the Covenant church there. The place where we were working was a marginalized area, pretty much like the projects of this large city.

A view of the active volcano, Popocatepatl, from our hotel.---
My Oaxacan colleagues, Jo Ellen Reaves and Doctora Cindy Hoover.---
Our summer interns, Brita Larson and Jenni Husby, having a little too much fun as they work by the weight and height scales.---
Location, location, location. Instead of setting up the shade where we had a place to sit, as the women suggested, the men decided we should be in the middle of the community area where we couldn't be missed ;-).---
The Maxcom phone company workers took a break from their neighborhood rounds to get their health checked (blood pressure, glucose, BMI calculated).---
Even the ice-cream man left his cart for a bit to come get a check up.---
Cute kid from the church.---
I liked how, though we were in the projects, families still came out to enjoy the Saturday together in the neighborhood.---
After showing me to the sketchy bathroom (you had to walk across planks to get in), Jo Ellen stopped to say hello to some kittens in the market.---
I'm guessing this bicycle was not hung out to dry, but rather, they did not have enough room to keep it inside the tiny apartments.---
Yay for new stairs at the Puebla church!---
Home again, home again. We sped past this truck going down the highway. I'm not sure that's the safest way to travel sir...

At least you didn't show the photo of my face after the kitten scratched me!
